The Wolf's Long Tail

Like the four cardinal directions, there are four cardinal tribes in the Wolf's Long Tail. In the very end of the mountain-enclosed valley are the two forces which like oil and water can never exist together. The Rebels in the Outlands, and the Ransangh in their conquered border are always fighting. Only the illusion of safety exists here, where the wild have never been tamed, and the leader of the pack is a very, very white wolf who submits only to his mate, the moon.

CURRENT MOON

moon phases

season:
Late Winter

weather:
Winter is nearly past, snow has given way to rain everywhere but the high mountain peaks of the Ribeyako territory. A massive thunder storm is making its way across the valley, and the Kitchi tribe's many rivers are swelling and flooding.

offspring:
Some may be born, but this would be very bad timing, and it is unlikely the pups would live through the remainder of the winter.

mating:
All creatures can mate during this season.

" Manen wolves and lynxes often adorn themselves with trinkets to display their accomplishments and communicate their desires to others. Not all of them like wearing jewelry, but some choose to wear an earring or a bracelet; and some wear a full set with dangling earrings, two bracellets, and a medallion.

The type of metal is used to display the animal's social nature and whether he or she is open to joining a tribe or more of a loner.

[image] Gold is worn by socialites. Gregarious animals who will make great sacrifices for the tribe. They live to help others and crave popularity and acknoledgement. Wearers of gold often seek leadership positions in a tribe and tribe leaders are almost always of the gold "type." Parents will sometimes give a cub a gold bracellet if they hope the cub will aspire to greatness. Many gold wearers join a defensive troup or army.

[image] Silver is worn by loners or animals who would like to remain somewhat mysterious and ellusive. Donning silver means they would like others to leave them alone or at least be aware of their introverted nature. These animals' motives usually revolve around self-fullfillment. They do not care what others think nor do they seek to impress anyone.

[image] Wearers of brass seek to have a few close relationships rather than being popular or well known. They usually are dedicated to their mates and families and don't like to be either in a crowd or alone. Brass wearers often have a small group of close friends that they hang out with all the time. Some small tribes are made entirely of closely related brass wearers.

The color of gems worn displays a driving force in a wolf or lynx's personality. (Again, not all wolves like to dislay this and might not wear jewels at all.)
